EBSCOhost is an online reference system that offers a variety of proprietary databases as well as databases from leading information providers. Many of the databases offer full text articles. In addition to general reference, there are subject-specific databases for public, academic, medical, corporate and school library patrons.
Searchasaurus is a search experience for elementary to middle school-age children. Accompanied by the Searchasaurus dinosaur, users navigate thru graphics and features that build on the EBSCOhost reference service. Databases that are accessible with this specialized interface include: Primary Search, Middle Search Plus and Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia.
TOPICSearch is an EBSCO interface that gathers information from a variety of sources on issues such as Current Events, Health, and Sports. In addition to presenting a list of topics suitable for research, this service provides word search and subject search. Other helpful features are an American Heritage Dictionary and a section on “How to Cite.”
